NORTHERN CALIFORNIAS COMPLETE SPEY SCHOOL

Swingwater flyfishing’s SPEY DAZE is a Spey and Steelhead immersion school created and structured on the individual angler. For the same reason all the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL have had a different throwing motion, spey casters have a different stroke! If we all copied each other, we’d all fall short of our potential. The instruction methodology at SPEY DAZE is 100% tailored to the individuals unique make up.

The process itself materializes much slower in the beginning but picks up speed efficiently as the angler evolves his knowledge. By ensuring basic concepts are understood, which will take a bit more time, creates a higher ceiling of potential relative to the individual. It is important to understand the value of patience while learning concepts. Fast forwarding through this phase of the fundamentals for whatever reason, can and probably will cripple your growth.

The SPEYDAZE cadre will ensure conceptual understanding regardless of the time it takes. As it is a very critical element of your angling future.

The methodology is designed to connect a symbiosis between the spey cast, presentation, and reading water. Situations for these opportunities will be executed on the river as they should be. As your understanding and skillset materializes, the mindset shifts to becoming a Stalker of Steelhead vs hoping for a Steelhead!

Whether you are already into Spey and want to level up, or you just want to get started, this is the right school. The Swingwater cadre will stop frequently and present the angler/s with actual fishing situations. Questions will be asked and effective discussions will be had for each scenario.

At the end of the third day, a discussion will take place and the Cadre will finish with a realistic Q&A. We look forward to seeing you all on the water.
